BMKal makes a good point about the rear view, not much obscured at all. With a more central carrier, then rear view would not be a so good.

Thanks for that Marcus - looking good. That bar in black does look really good. I'm still trying to decide whether to stay black or go colour coded on mine.. hmm
David
Thanks guys,, yeh, I reckon the black looks really good too,, but, when the black sliders and wheels go on, I reckon she'll look even better.
I don't know about the "black on grey" for the Disco. Personally I think it would look great in black,, I know it helped set off my Defender, but being a DC ute, it's hardly a comparison.
I think colour coding bumpers etc looks "sharp but sophisticated" so to speak,,, black looks tougher, meaner, menacing almost. I think, or at least I'm hoping mine will look kind of menacingly elegant ;)
Yes, all this colour coordination! :)
I have grey Compomotives on already and black GOE sliders on the way. Re the bar, ARB colour coded vs black OL below. hmm

What camera ???? :o
There aren't any cameras in mine, and even if there was, I seriously doubt that the position of the spare wheel would have any impact at all on the camera view. ;)
It is the view through the main rear view mirror that is partially blocked by having the spare wheel mounted on the back of the vehicle - the closer to the "centre" of the vehicle the wheel is positioned, the more the view is blocked. :D
Having fun down near Yarram with gghaggis, (GOE's Gordon) and his training weekend. WOW, what a weekend. Had a lot of fun, and found out some absolutely awesome stuff about the D4 and its workings. What a weapon we have at our disposal.

Gordon is a top bloke, the first time I went out to Harvey with him he had a D1!!!!!!
Did you do the theory course too????
He runs a DVD in the background, there is a green 80 series tojo in it.My d2 was in getting a head gasket at the time.I rode shotgun with my best mate Fat Baz in the 80ser for that trip.A couple of weeks later Baz and his lady died in a horrific crash in that 80ser.
Andrew
Damn, sorry to hear of that Andy.
Your right, Gordon's excellent, and a great teacher too. My biggest fear is "information overload",, I think I've actually managed to take in about 10% of what was said :(
