I have gone option 2 and am still working on it, I have all the hardware fitted but on the few attempts I've made I have not managed to activate it using a BBs MSV2. I have however since then installed new firmware on the MSV2 and am soon to receive an IDD tool from Gap solutions thanks to the group buy on this site.

So I will soon reattempt to get this gear running, fingers crossed!!

If you have a win Ken could you please write up a few details in a thread (parts/costs/ccf/etc).

What year model D4 do you have?

I've looked at what's required to add ACC to my MY12 RRV and have spotted that the ABS modulator on slightly earlier VINs is different when ACC is fitted. Mine has the correct ABS modulator, being a late MY12. I haven't looked in to possible differences for D4s.

    Hi Graeme,

My car is a 2011 sdv6, how do I check which modulator I have?

I have some parts I am willing to give away if you are interested. Not sure they would suit the RRV as they are for the RRS1. I have the radar unit, ECU and some other bits and pieces.
    Cheers,

    Ken,

I'll see what I can glean from Microcat and elsewhere.

    Sean,

Thanks. I'll check part numbers and get back to you via a PM.

    Ken,
If you sourced parts from a RRS, do you know the vehicle's VIN? Also, is your VIN later than 551483?

It's possible that your ABS module might simply need later s/w.

    Hi Graeme,

My VIN is later than that (=+ 572000), I don't know the source of my parts though, the radar was second hand, the ECU new, and the steering wheel buttons new as well.

I just know they fit the part numbers being thrown about on the rather lengthy thread relating to this on the disco3 site.

I'm hoping the user interface on the GAP IDD tool is as good as it looks and that the support is as good as it sounds, I have no reason to think differently.

I don't know yet what they have implemented with regards to ACC but when I search for functionality of my model on their site ACC is supported to at least some extent.

Like I said, fingers crossed I can get it working, every thing is fitted so it's just a case of getting it recognized.

Ken, if you had a thread going, could you provide a link to it please?

PS I just bought a supposedly new radar unit for MY10+ RRS/L322 and probably D4 if the D4 ABS & ecm s/w can support it for less than $300 landed. I'll buy the switch later.
