Ok, heres some advice from a different side,,
and I've replaced a few of these--
you, and everything around you will get filthy,, CV grease is the second most tackyist substance known to man. Your tools, the garage, the replacement boot, your dog, will get covered and you will spread this mess far and wide.

We get brochers at work for our spannerman.
There was one from Coventrys recently advising they now stock new complete CV's for most vehicles.
Just had a google,Land Rover doesn't seem to be on their cattledog.May be worth a call????

I can't remember exactly, but it took about 5 hours to change the boot and do an oil change. There was about 30 minutes of wasted time trying to remove the drive shaft from the front diff (couldn't pop it out easily), as there is plenty of space to change the boot with the shaft in place. Also means I didn't use the new oil seal for the drive shaft. The front diff oil was due for a change anyway, so the fact I drained it in preparation didn't matter.Quote:
