Thread: Front Mudflaps

Wait until you fit GOE wheels.
My car never has been so dirty.
The extra offset and tyre width plus they do some trickery with air flow as I now get much more.dirt spray and brake dust on the panels.
I'm sure many of you will be happy to relieve me of the wheels
At least the wheels are much easier to clean than the OEM wheels

Wanting them to be as strong as possible and not wishing to put any extra holes in the guard, I cut sum 1.5mm aluminium sheet to the contour of the guard and the mudflap, bolted it to the mudflap and just used the inner guard bolt locations to attach them.

How they will cope on the tracks only time will tell, but I'm happy with the result and now looking at doing something similar for the rear.

What do you have on the rear? I just have the rigid ones but ones broken so taking them off.

I have the plastic rigid rear mudflaps as well, which have been broken several times and welded back together several times.
It's time to replace them, because there isn't much left to weld to.
I will be using the Defender 90 rear mudflaps similar to what several contributors have posted in the thread Scott has listed above.
I will try to fit them using an aluminum bracket, as I have on the front or by modifying the metal bracket that is attached to the rigid ones on the car.
Will have to wait until they arrive in the post before I can do anything.
