My local guy made up his own press tool HTensile 16mm all thread and nuts and does them on the car under 2 hours and used gen bushed no "crap " unless you want to pay me to do them in 6 months .I have run these for 60 k and still going strong .

Russ I recall the genuine Lemforder bushes are quite cheap but direct OEM rather than LR branded. I think diy pressing with these bushes will be the best option after a couple of rounds and more so if you can share the cost of the press tooling with others.

I thought difficulties with pressing bushes was a UK issue. There’s a few people on here who’ve used the Lazer tool without drama. It’s a threaded rod type action rather than hydraulic pressing.

The best part of the press tool I have is it now has the mandrels for front and rear D3/4 and D2 ball joints also.. so it’s getting a bit of use to justify the initial outlay..
The up front purchase and the bushes the first time was cheaper than paid replacement
How long are LCA bushes supposed to last. My car's in for service and the dealer says that they need replacing at 26.6K kilometres. I hadn't noticed a problem but maybe that's just me, although I'm usually attuned to new noises etc.
