Should handle a 265 with ease and most 275s
Log onto a tyre web site and looks for a tyre size - each brand is reasonably consistent - they will specify wheel width suitability.
Hi all. Im looking to get a set of 17x7.5" X5 rims for my D3. Just wondering what the max width i can go on the rim? I hear 235 works so could run a 235/75R17, but I'd like a little more rubber on the road. Would a 255 still fit?
Cheers
Dan

I used both LT245/70 and 265/65 on 7.5" X5 rims. I still have 4 part worn LT245/70 Duractracs on X5 rims needing a home.

How worn are they? And whereabouts are you based?
I'd love to just steal your wheels Rich, but i think A/T's will be the go. Currently looking at the Bridgestone D697 for their durability and many great reviews, and the BFG A/T KO2 for something a little more aggressive. We have a lot of clay around home and i would like something that performs well in that goop. Price will probably win out tho
Haha one is to be retired to the backyard for a cushy life as a tyre swing
