Well no problems at all with the car on the way home and in the days since. The dealer said there was water in the transfer control module, they cleaned it all out, now as good as new. The dealer was wonderful throughout the whole process and didn't charge me for all the time they worked on the issue.
Thanks again for everyone's ideas and thoughts, it was greatly appreciated!
    Cheers Pete

Good result Pete but didn't they wet it in the first place with a high pressure wash?

True they did wet it, but it was still a good outcome for me.
