My jack adaptor arrived today. It fits beautifully and will most certainly add safety when lifting the car. So a really big thank you to Weeds for your generosity.

    Peter:

Glad it fits, as I didn't have a D4 to check against.

I so need one of these. I guess I'll take the kind drawing and get someone to make me one up.

Not to mention that you were only given the dimensions form someone who often doesn't know what he's doing.

    Definitely a job well done.

Has anybody found a reliable supplier for these adaptors? There’s no way I can make one myself... gotta pay somebody somewhere.

I had one made. I have to say, I question the 2 tonne Omega jack as being suitable however. On my D4 is can’t even get a wheel off the ground without me putting a one inch lump of wood under it.

There are two 2 tonne Omega jacks. A single stage and a two stage. The two stage will lift it off the ground.

Single stage: Max lift - 395 mm

Two stage: Max lift - 442 mm

DiscoWA found some of the 2 stage jobs on eBay for $40 each delivered to Perth a while back. We bought 4. Of course you can also lift from underneath the arms - won't need the adaptor either.

It’s odd. I have the two stage and when I tried it my wheel was still fully drooped and was not off the ground at the Omega’s max extension. Maybe I’ll take another look at it and work out why
