The following is a quote from my unexpected articulation post.

"Unfortunately this causes problems. The inner CV was at full rotation and binding at this angle, however, it seems to be OK still. The main problem is that the bushes in the upper control arm have been damaged, the sway bar bushes are damaged and the sway bar link to the suspension is bent. Since my car gets to full articulation quite often, it also affects the diff mountings as the diff gets pushed up and across at this drive shaft angle. They also found that my EGR pipe was chafing against the suspension tower and had worn through."

Might do it as preventative maintenance then seeing as i just had new lower control arm bushes fitted. Would hate to have to replace them again!

Bob, I assumed when reading your old thread that it was the over extension when on the hoist that caused all the other damage. But did you actually mean the damage occurred over time from over articulation while driving?

Yes the latter. It was damaged before being put on the hoist from goodness knows how long doing extreme drives every now and again with the over extending suspension.

Hi, wondering where you purchased your replacements from? Am new to the D4 scene and the number of choices in UK are more than I can count!

In my case Rovertech imported them from England for me. Others will be better qualified to advise on where they should be bought from.

I got these from LRDirect this time, but there are any number of reputable UK suppliers as you've discovered.
