A few months back I was talking with one of Kev's guys (at Rovertech) and he had said he just did both turbos on a D4 with the body on, mostly only cuz it had a lot of accessories on it, as in bullbar, rear tyre carrier/rear metal bumper.
These items do add a lot of hrs to a job, but when a D4 is stock, I can have the body off quicker than most will dick around with it on. It also means the job gets done neater and less chance of things like a gasket failure.
Quite simply, it should be no skin off the owners nose what way a repairer chooses to do the job. To me its what the mechanic feels more comfortable doing.
