    D3 Braking in Reverse

    Hi All,
I've done a search but not found anything matching exactly.
When reversing my TDV6 D3 and apply the brakes, they very quickly go rock hard and one has to really lean on the peddle to force a stop. It's most noticeable when reversing down an incline (duh).

This is indicative of vacuum problems but why only in reverse?

The car has had the brake booster mod and otherwise brakes just fine.

    Thoughts?

    Cheers
    Ralph

Most likely still has oil in booster. Had one last month that has had the mod done however still had oil getting in. Brakes were as you described. Just removed the vac fitting from the booster and sucked all the oil out.

Any chance of a short step through or pics to guide a punter?

If it is still getting oil into the booster, Land Rover should cover this under warranty. They make the dealer jump through a few hoops but if the recall needs to be done again, it should be covered.

Just the diesels, oil comes in via the vacuum pump.
