Same thing happened to my 2010 D4 at 75K km's - I had extended warranty but Alliance refused to pay up. LR Aus came to the rescue. The service guy showed me the bill Just under $19K

Hi all,
Well, here it is. Just picked up the Disco with a new motor.
2009 model D4 3.0 SDV6, 187,000ks, purchased as an Approved vehicle when it was 5 years old and tacked on a Land Rover backed Alliance extended warranty. You can do this when purchasing used from a dealer. All warranties ran out in October of 2016.
Land Rover Australia paid 75% of the total costs for the motor, accessories required, and labour. As I had to pay for 25%, it comes with a Land Rover backed 1 year, 20,000k warranty.
I’m certainly very grateful for LRA assistance. They did the right thing. Without them, I would’ve sold the Disco for scrap.
The team at Austral, now Brisbane City Land Rover, were fantastic and I cannot recommend them enough. If I lived in the area, I would happily take the Disco there (and having dealt with a new dealer further South, Brisbane City is the ONLY placed I’d take it).
Thank you LRA and Brisbane City LR.
Great to hear a good news story from LRA. Was it another bearing failure?
That's great to hear.
Great News.
Good to see JRA looking after a customer who has stayed loyal with dealer servicing.
ENJOY
