I did read somewhere the D3/D4 "armoured" factory builds run these.
I guess they are heavy duty vehicles built for diplomats etc.

I also read that the armoured models don't have an offroad height - which is why I never pursued looking further into getting a GVM increase. :-\

Never quite understood the RRS LCA argument as what was heavier duty about them over D3?
I don't know how much of a difference the D4 geometry would make but certainly wouldn't mix D3 and D4 LCAs. However if fitting D4 shocks for their firmer ride then perhaps beneficial to fit D4 LCAs when the need arises to get the full D4's handling improvement package.

My understanding is that the RRS bushes are firmer for more precise handling but may not endure quite so well the greater movement anticipated for Disco suspension.

Speaking recently with my LR mechanic he mentioned that RRS seem to wear out their shock absorbers in less than 1/2 the life of a D3/D4.
Maybe something to do with the shorter wheelbase.

Perhaps they are more obviously worn-out due to the normally firm ride and less bump-stop clearance.
