Monsta Tyres 265/60 18 114TXL Terrain Gripper AT

After there was some discussion regarding these tyres in the thread Max tyre width on 17x7.5" rim?. I said that if I purchased them when I received my GOE 18" rims, then I would post up here.
The rims arrived on Tuesday and today I bought the tyres. The main driver was price ($190 each from Tempe Tyres - $950 for a set of 5, $650 less overall than I could get D697s). But I am also curious as to how they will go and whether they will meet their advertising hype. The fact that they are Australian designed also pressed a couple of buttons . Their web site is here Monsta Tyres | All Terrain and Mud Terrain Tyres.

First impressions - they look good, but that could be because I am so happy to have 18s with ATs. On balance they tyres look good, not too aggressive but like proper tyres.

Noise - just some freeway driving on the Sydney M5 and M7 on the way home - yes, noisier than the OEM Goodyears, but I expected that. Overall not noisy enough to matter.

Pics will follw when it stops raining long enough for me to get some (and also get 5 19" rims with tyres out of the car and stored away.

I was hoping to get out on Sunday to Newnes with the trip that Scouse has organised, but the weather may put a stopper to that.

Anyway I will continue to update as and when.

    Cheers
    Mike

PS. By the way 5 x 19" Land Rover rims with tyres will appear in the Markets shortly. 4 have done 20K km and the other has never touched the road. PM me if you know anyone who might be interested. Price is negotiable.

Interested to hear how they go. Planning to run full time or just off-road with second set of wheels Tombie?

    Pretty much full time.

I'm too lazy to change tyres.
