Any other locations to mount ARB Twin Compressor in Disco 4?

    Hi All!

I have looked through some threads talking about mounting space for the ARB compressor in the bonnet. Just wondering if anyone has mounted the ARB twin compressor somewhere in the car cabin instead?

    Cheers,

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

If you are prepared to remove the third row seats, you can fit all kinds of stuff in the reclaimed cavity. Mine is still a work in progress and the floor cover is still in the proof of concept stage, but I plan on fitting the ARB compressor as in the attached pics. Note, I have yet to wire it up or lay out the air intake or site the air reservoir, but the compressor is mounted securely.

Keep in mind Airflow. They need it to keep cool.

Hiding it under a board full of other items isn't good for it (or anything nearby).

Yeah, they do get hot even with excellent airflow.

I made up another loom for mine so i can just run it from an anderson plug at the back of the vehicle. After I've pumped up my tyres (which is pretty quick with 18's), the pump is almost too hot to touch and i let it cool for a few minutes before i put it back in the car.

I am also looking to mount it under the passenger seat.

Do you mean the back passenger seat? There is hardly any space beneath my front passenger with all the stuffs going on for the electrical seat adjuster.

    Cheers,
    Ben

As this thread has a relevant title, thought I'd highlight my recent post here.
