I used OL at Rockdale twice (a D3 and then a D4) to fit, among other things, a safari snorkel and was very happy both times.

I'm just about to get a Safari RAI (I'm very pc now in everything.....) and that's because of both the dust from roads and we drive plenty of them and like DiscoJ we got sand in the air box when on the beach and it was blowing a gale. Many thousand of litres used to wash the vehicle on top and under although we never went near the water.
Plus we think the Safari looks heaps better than the others and hopefully the young girls will love me even more when they see my snorkel up...... Don't tell the Cook I said that.
An indy I approached to fit it (and a bull bar) recommended ARB to do it as they were cheaper especially with the bar work.

Does the Safari have the necessary plumbing for a 2014 D4? IIRC there was an extra hose/pipe for later models?

I've seen some knock-offs of the LR RAI, given the genuine one is disocntinued, would anyone chance it with one of the knockoffs or are they leaky rubbish?

In my opinion the LR RAI is leaky rubbish, and as such I did not fit one. Safari are expensive when compared to Airflow and they are both designed to be waterproof if installed correctly!

"If installed correctly" sums it up. I'm getting mine installed along with a bull bar by an OL store recommended by others that have had much work done by them. I was going to do it myself but after reading all the different threads here decided against it.
I also decided not to use an OL place I've used previously due to adverse comments regarding the fitting of the RWC they flog to an acquaintances Disco. Bodge up would describe it I believe.
I like to use those people who have been recommended by other LR owners regardless of model and steer clear of places when I see all the "lifted and locked tough as" vehicles parked outside.....and in that regard, why do some of the turkeys put signs on saying "built up not bought" on their vehicle? There's some very odd people out there.

Anyone after safari Snorkel, nows a good time to buy. 10% off at the moment or you could wait for an ebay 5-10% code to combine and get more discount

Safari Snorkel Kit fits Land Rover Discover Series 3 2.7L/3.0L Diesel 2004-08... | eBay

...but personally....I have just bought an Airflow branded snorkel, from Ateco for $190 + Freight.
