If you're happy with the airflow that's good but I've always had Safari and see no reason to change as they are the best for what I want which is clean air on unmade roads.
Mines just been fitted to the D4 along with a bulbar and I'm more than happy with the work done....... pity about the bank balance though.

Alan, I cannot understand where you get the notion that a Safari Snorkel IS THE BEST for clean air on unmade roads. Clean air is delivered to the car via an air filter, so you want the best air filter. A snorkel without an air filter will destroy your motor but a vehicle with a filter and no snorkel still gets clean air!

Functionally they are nearly identical so they would be only as good as your filter is.

Especially when you are climbing a hill in low range or powering up a sand dune

I did say they (safari) were the best for what I want and others may disagree but that's OK. I also use the standard filter although others will disagree with that as well.
What I will never bother with again is one of those oiled filters as when travelling many miles on dirt roads they soon get clogged (my experience) and it's easier to knock out the paper filter. Plus I carry a spare for really dusty conditions.
All in all it really boils down to personal preferences and I'll stick with what I've always had.
