I had a quote. $650 EGR only or $1050 inc tune. More than I'd hoped EGR only

No. Higher priorities for my money in the end. If I could DIY it I would but $650 simply for that is not good value for me

Fair enough - much the same opinion. Though pictures of gunked up intakes, my own experiences in cleaning what I dare to, and the concurrent thread about failing EGR valves makes me wonder if i'm living a false economy. Saving $650 now only to be hit with many times that later on.

Thankfully there are plenty of examples of high(er) KM vehicles running just fine!

I wonder how serviceable the EGR valves are? Anyhow, I'll remap it when mine fail unless I can find some from a wreckers.

    Re-map Melbourne

Hi, digging up this old thread, I'd like to get my 2016 Landmark SDv6 remapped in Melbourne to get rid of the awful lag off the line. Has enough mid range go but could be better with less lag. any experience in Melbourne or recommendations

I've had a blue tune put on mu 2010 2.7 Disco 4 at Quantum Tuning in Braybrook. He also made some 'adjustments' to the EGR which you might have to discuss when you get the tune done. No DPF on mine so no worries there.

Really happy with it so far.

Now feels like a 3.0ltr twin turbo should with good throttle response and more torque, atleast by the seat of your pants anyway.
Ask Rover-Tech for details of tuning, I think the name is Auto Code, he's just up the road from them in Bently. Also closed EGR valves when re flashing ECU.
Significantly cheaper than the other options i looked at also.
Mine has also somehow lost the big muffler and secondary cat unit underneath , I've kept the twin rear section of the factory exhaust with the resonators.
It is a little louder when you put the boot in, i like the sound, but very little noise difference in normal use. I think this also helped with improving the response and feel of the engine.

    Hope this helps

When you got the remap done at Auto code do they put the car on a dyno and adjust the tune to suit or is it "one flash suits all"?

I'm looking to get my 2012 D4 SDV6 done in Perth but from what i've read most people advise to go with someone who can live tune the remap via the dyno. Can anyone clarify this??

How is it going since the remap?

Where did you get the exhaust delete done and did you buy the replacement pipes online?

    Cheers...

Live tuning will see your remap blow out to about $2500 including dyno time.

The maps done are usually just an incremental adjustment. (One size fits)
