    Replacement battery for a D4

What batteries are people buying to replace original AGM in there D4. L R replacements are pretty dear.
    Thanks Kero.

I just went the original. And if you go to a decent (ie rural/regional) dealer (anything unlike the ones in Sydney), they will give you a discount.

The Sydney dealers don't even have a parts desk/guy. I have to ask the sales guy, who rings the parts guy, who gets back to the sales guy, who gets back to me. Then if I have more questions, it has to go round again.

    Cheers

This is of interest to me as well. I am getting the low battery start engine now warning coming up after 2.5 years of ownership so it may be time to replace the original N70ZZ but the warning came up after being in for service so we will get a software check first as the batteries are both testing OK

    More to follow

These cars destroy batteries like no other car I've owned. Actually to be fair, they rely on a good battery more than any car. Where other cars simply crank slower and keep on fighting an average battery, the LR cars cry for help. They are heavily voltage dependent at startup for all the ECUs to activate correctly and a 3 year old battery generally can't summon up the grunt. I'm going to start a bank account as a battery fund, depositing $15 per month in anticipation of the next refresh Replacement battery for a D4

Quite a few of us have had the original battery replaced free under factory warranty, so it's a very good time to have this checked and hopefully swapped. My original lasted around 2yrs 10.5 months, my replacement battery also only lasted 3 years. This is with many short trips (<5kms) in a day in urban Sydney, which is hard on batteries.

Probably jinxing myself but mine has been going for 3.5 years and looks to be still ok. I do occasionally put it onto a CTEK 5amp charger though. I do mainly 5 minute trips too unfortunately.
