Yep I had exactly the same thing. Timing corresponded after some off road work too. There is a metal shield on the backside of the brake rotor. In my case it was rubbing (I initially thought it was the caliper rubbing the Compomotives). Just give it a bit of a wiggle and maybe push it in and should clear it up. If you've been off-road might be some mud or gunge in there too. I've had this twice and both times fixed it. My mechanic said I did exactly what he would have so give it a go. Hope it helps.
