    D4 leaking sunroof

I have recently bought a 2011 D4 HSE with sunroof and rear glass roof, this car is coloured Fuji White but has blacked out grill and mirrors. When I took it through a car wash that used pressure sprayers I got a surprise when about 2 cups of water came out of the plastic airbag decal/cover on the drivers pillar. Has anybody had the same problem? I'm guessing the sunroof seal must be leaking and am wondering is this something that would get replaced to stop the leak or is it something that is too difficult to be viable, I'll be keeping out of the car wash but haven't driven in any heavy rain yet so don't know if it would leak in that situation.
    Cheers Paul.

Blocked sunroof drain mate. There are tubes attached at each corner which run down the A and B pillars. They get blocked down the bottom the tube fills up and.... you have experienced the result.

    Compressed air usually clears them.

    (I speak from experience.)

Carefull using compressed air, the drain hoses can pop off the gutters then you end up with more water in you cabin. I'm about to replace the drain lines in my D3. If you go back a few weeks I posted links to some LR repair bulletins. Once I get my daughter's 18th birthday party out of the way this weekend I'll start removing trim panels.

does anyone know how much water should come through past the seal ? drains are working i just noticed quite a steady stream of droplets getting past in heavy rain, so wondering if it needs new seal or adjustment.

D2s do that. You'd reckon they'd have figured it out by now.

RRC's do it too, past the windscreen rubber when it gets a bit 'classic'.

No action required.............. one just waits for the footwells to rust and it just drains out all by itself.

That approach works on OKAs as well. Wait, the OKA doesn't have a sunroof. But it leaks from other places. Quite a few it seems.
