    Suspension errors

Hi all, recently I've been getting a few suspension warning lights, which seem to be occuring more reguarly,
C1A13-64 (6C) Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery - Algorithm based failure - signal plausibility failure
C1A13-64 (28) Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery - Algorithm based failure - signal plausibility failure

Looks to me like a possible sticking valve thats preventing the gallery from venting. Anyone else had this one before?

Shane, what was the outcome? I have this issue as well, plus U0421 which I believe is the ABS complaining that the suspension has a listed fault.

    Suspension faults

    Hi

I also get these faults (although I can't quote the codes/numbers directly).
I only get the fault when lowering the suspension (from std to low, or high to std heights).

What sort of compressor do you have?

I have the original Hitachi compressor (D4, MY10), and I've been told that the cause is the compressor exhaust valve sticking.
It is apparently an early sign of failure of the compressor.
I asked about refurbishing the compressor (valve), but was advised that the refurb doesn't 'last that long', and should get a replacement compressor.

Keen to hear others experience. I've been putting off the new compressor for a few months now.

    Thanks.

That's a furphy if ever I heard one , refurb would be my first step. Hitachi's seem to last longer than the Amk's and kits are readily available.

Compressors are fully serviceable. My X8R supplied compressor overhaul kit including new dryer cover and piston seals arrived yesterday, I will be pre-emptively servicing the compressor this weekend, it's run fault free for nearly 9 years (MY10 D4). No error codes but I've noticed over the last few weeks that its taking longer to get from access to normal to offroad height. If I remember I'll post some pictures. Another source is the X8R website, search for "instructions" there and they have complete pdf files detailing each step.

I will do mine soon, i also noticed it ever so slightly slower to raise so will get it before it becomes an issue.

I ended up changing the dryer desicant which had a significant portion turned to dust. Stopped faulting after that. I have since replaced the compressor as well since then as the old one died. Havent had the issues since

How long did the old one last after the overhaul/dessicant change?

That was pretty-much what I was told - I could do the overhaul, but the compressor was unlikely to last another 5-10yrs... So may as well bite the bullet and just replace it...

Imho if youre going to change the desicant out, you should also replace all the seals and the pistion glide ring as these are the highest wearing parts. Apparently the plastic end cap tends to crack around the air line fittings so i went for the alloy version.
