Curious fault message - "Voltage 12.5v"

Yesterday on the drive from Kalbarri to Giralia Station a curious message came up on the TFT screen between the dials, "voltage 12.5v". It was only there for a minute or two, and disappeared. Any clues? To give her something to do, I got the bride to read the manual for the next couple of hundred kays, but she couldn't find anything relevant in there. (She did say it was enthralling reading though.)

We're towing a camper, and I had the fridge in the trailer drawing about 4amps when it cycles on, and a chain saw battery on charge via the inverter, but I would have thought the car would be putting out more than enough amperage via the Anderson plug to cope with that.

    Your thoughts gentlemen?

    Greg,

You get that when you have your GAP IID plugged in and no phone connection via Bluetooth.

I think you can suppress voltage display on your screen via selections in 'IID Tool Config' > 'Voltage Display'.

You can tell it to show other stuff on the dashboard but the voltage is what is there by default.

I assume that the relatively low voltage is because everything is fully charged. It will increase when extra charge is required.

My IIDTool only seems to show 12.5V for any voltage of 12.5V or above and appears to not perform reflashes unless it is showing 12.5V. Hence the voltage displayed may not be the actual voltage.

Graeme, mine always shows actual voltage on the dash screen and reads within 0.1V of the cig socket voltmeter.

Without the car running mine shows 12.2V consistently and allows me to flash to my hearts content. Odd that there is different behaviour.

Mine displays pretty much the correct voltage which varies with state of charge and acceleration etc.

I had thought that mine showed 12.5V on the tool itself but perhaps it is 12.2V.
