In all honesty, it's cheap as chips when you consider how great it is. It's brilliant. It just works.

Out of interest does the audio have much of a compressed sound to it? I've found Bluetooth audio quality quite variable and different head units I've had in my other cars.

The quality is identical to direct headphone connection. Mine sounds better on Bluetooth than radio. Any compressed source sounds worse than CD but there's no reduction in quality through the tune2air products.

Yep, that's me DAB and Bluetooth integration 2011 Discovery 4

A "factory" DAB+ retrofit is possible in the 2010-2011 D4, so that it's completely controlled via the touchscreen and steering wheel buttons, and gives you everything on the touchscreen, however it's not cheap since the module is not the same as the 2012-onward D4s, it's a special unit. I have a couple though...

To save a bit of time, do you have antenna press studs on the rear left window in your beast DiscoJ? My 2010 D4 doesn't, making the retrofit using the OEM antenna a little more complicated...

5 minutes to glue the studs on they work perfectly

I purchased a Bovee 1000 some months ago. I regret I didn't do it years ago. So easy to use and the interface with the iPhone 8 is seamless. Sometimes when using the steering wheel controls there is a slight delay switching tracks but it isn't a problem. I highly recommend it if you want to stream from your device.
