Makes me think I should investigate a rebuild kit for mine at 240k km before it fails.

Please let me know when you find a recon kit. I replaced my alternator before it failed and have kept the original as a spare.

Just buy a new one and anyone with the original still going after 7 years or 150000km should ASAP really get it done preventatively. Minor knuckle damage but not too hard
