If you look on the Roo systems web site, They do a drag race between a stock and moded D4. Now I am 1st to admit it could be just an advertorial, but I am sure if one could get a proper before and after test done, then there would be a conclusive answer.

We are now in Derby and the vehicle is still performing well.
The fuel consumption is still great and I am consistently getting 14.7-16.5 l/100 towing 3.2-3.5 tonne with tent and water cans on top
Power for overtaking is more than adequate and the motor is definitely more responsive :-D
Yes, seen that, like most of us. That vehicle was the whole 9 meters (metrified whole 9 yards [wink11]), most aggressive tune and exhaust system. Interesting how the power figure increase was given but not torque or post tune graphs. Actually a graph is up on the site in a different thread and there are a few comments about it (Roo Systems ECU Remap, including EGR system disable and catch can fitting - booked in) and the fuel economy claims just seem a bit optimistic to me. But in the end I if you are happy with the result then that's all that matters.Quote:

I am envious as well. Admittedly I have roof racks (aero design) and a side awning. Also I tow a 2400kg off road caravan and it sits up rather high (3.2metres). On my recent trip when towing I never got better than 16. Mostly 17-19. This is towing on bitumen at the posted speed limits, and on dirt roads mostly at 80kph. This was a real figure not what the computer was saying. It was at least 2-3 litres out Ie saying 12-16 when it was more like 14 to 19. When I next get the car serviced, I am going to ask them to recalibrate this aspect as it it just plain rubbish. Oh also I should mention my vehicle has the Maxxis 19' LT tyres. As they are heavier that may also contribute to mote fuel usage.
I am using sport mode and set cruise for 96 k actually 90 change back to 5 the regularly on inclines

I got my 2013 3.0SDV6 RRS done by Roo systems Brisbane in May last year. Also fitted an exhaust. My results much same - smoother, less lag, fuel use almost identical, more get up and go but not to extent that I think we have pushed it too far. I got the touring/towing tune. Really couldn't complain I also had LLAM's fitted by them at same time, again no issue. They want to do the exhaust on my 77 Update RRC - its a small job for a big business but they were genuinely interested in car. I had a look at exhaust done on Gleno's 70 series - excellent work top quality. They promised same, and good price, so might take the RRC to them.
I finally bit the bullet and got a Roo System remap done today. Will pick the vehicle ( TDV6 ) up tomorrow and see how it goes. Looking forward to having more torque available when I need it. [smilebigeye]
I had the autocode tune done on my 2010 & the latest rev inlet manifold (LR116732 & LR105956) decided it did not want to stay in the engine bay!
Not towing, just pulled out in traffic & POP.
Contemplating going back to std tune, or asking Mark to reduce the boost a tad.
