Difference in performance is simply outstanding and it is a different vehicle to drive
At present in Kununurra after having travelled from Newcastle and have averaged 16.5 l/ 100k towing 3.2 tonnes

I had been contemplating a remap for my 2011 3.0 SDV6 from BAS in the UK,they have been working on a chip/cable that allows tuning via the OBD port using the GAP IID tool. However the project seems to have bogged down,no progress since June.DISCO3.CO.UK - Index seeing the amount of crud that was in the inlet manifold of my TD5 Defender when I removed the EGR this was high on my list.The wife found the D4 was sometimes a bit hesitant off the mark and a bit of an increase in fuel range would always be handy.
In a timely fashion our good friend Landy Andy mentioned he had arranged a group deal for 3.0 remaps through Mark at Autocode in Bentley going for $850.My vehicle was remapped a week ago and it fulfills what I was requiring, mainly the EGR but it is smoother throughout the rev range and a bit more zip when overtaking.I have only done a couple of trips to Perth and one to Northam and giving it a blast so can't comment on consumption,but overall very pleased with the result of the remap.For further details contact Andrew 'Landy Andy'.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Can I ask were the remaps done with a Dyno run as well ?

Eddy, $850 sounds very reasonable for a remap, considering they have to open the actual ECU. I was looking at Roo systems and they want up would of $1,700 - which does include a dyno run and 2 reloads . But comparing other remap companies Roo System sounds expensive. Any one know a good remapper in Melbourne, preferably with experience in Land Rovers and D4's ? I know a few other D4 owners have used Superchip, but as your aware remap has to still be done breaking open the ECU

Also another reason I would like the remap is there is a short initial delay on take off - if I need to accelerate quickly off the spot. Its ok if you are conscious and you start to preload accelerator before take off.

Thanks for the feedback on the remap. Likewise I am keen to negate the EGR but I am hesitant about the performance upgrade as I am satisfied on how it goes now and I felt that my old TD5 became a lumpy time bomb when I had it remapped back then. If anything some better fuel economy would be nice though...

Hi all, I too had a remap in Adelaide, EGR closed and am not too convinced about the power / torque improvements being what was spruked. Fuel economy is at best the same, but my numbers actually point to a slight decrease in economy which is no big deal. I also tow a van at a similar mass and I would be over the moon with 16.5 l/100 but is this a calculated consumption or trip computer generated, my normal is 18 l/100 at 95 kph indicated while towing and 10 around town, 9 before the remap, I am very light footed in the city.
Without wanting to hijack the OP I offer you this observation, I fired up the IIDTool and selected engine torque as a parameter while towing before the remap and by holding gears was easy to get 600N.M on the display, but nothing more after the remap, just the same output. I have considered IIDTool limitation not showing more than 600 N.M, also existing limitation of vehicle system, it just seems a bit strange that it would max out at 600 but I would be interested to hear opinions and someone else repeating the experiment.

Economy has been calculated using actual kilometres and actual litres also I drive in manual mode and have found that this also helps economy and lowers temps on the gearbox oil

Your gap iid won't show any more than what is preset in the TCU parameters, ( in your case 600 nm )which are unchanged in the remap , you will / should have a noticeable difference
