IIDTOOL allows you to preset three ride heights that are quickly selectable. Similar to LLAMS I have a plus 30mm, 40mm and plus 50mm options. I find I like the plus 30/40mm for those faster roads where there’s a risk of hitting some thing but you want to maintain above the standard height at speed (above 54kph) or you’re sick of the message popping up warning you. Running default height around town is by far the most comfortable ride. Supple and supportive.
Running above or below default felt harder with more jarring when going over small irregularities in suburban streets.
As previously said, I feel more manly when I running higher than standard but it's not better or required for everyday use.
Having a software tool to easily give a height lift is the best way to go imo. When you need it or just want it, give yourselves a raise. And for everyday driving, enjoy the comfort of standard height.
My 2 cents.
While in slow traffic yesterday i was thinking about how birds and some animals puff up their feathers/fur to make them look bigger, much like how with the air suspension you can get an instant height increase to intimidate the other road users into thinking you are in a tough offroad wheeler [bigrolf].
How many height settings are there in the IId tool ?, Llams is not in the budget yet but a IId tool might cover both bases.
I was looking at the Llams kit which is excellent but opted for the GAP IID tool due to it's additional features and the fact that with the blue tooth model it's easy to height select in a few key presses.Quote:
