That is now on the weekend task list. [emoji41]
Otherwise some more metal fabrication may be in order to make a stand-off.

So a question from a non winch person trying to understand some things.
Is a fairlead a standard size? Does it get impacted by winch or winch mount tray?
Ok you obviously need something on the end of your winch rope but I have seen a wide variety. So what is the difference between what people have placed on the end of their winch rope? I have seen 2 types of Factor 55 ends. Why different? What makes the hook so expensive?
Sorry trying to understand this.
Personal choice, you can go with the fancy overpriced F55, a common hook or even a rated shackle. Fairlead's are generally a standard size but there are variations like off-set etc depending on what bar or tray you have.
My ARB bar was made for a roller fairlead so i needed an off-set fairlead so that the synthetic rope was routed correctly.
At the end of my Synthetic Rope I have a nut and bolt through the eyelet. The rope is wound up tight with the bolt firm against the fairlead. That way the number plate sits fairly flush with the bumper bar in its down position. I use big shackle bolts rather than hooks. But I do carry a hook just in case I am using a drag chain.
