    Toyo Open Country AT+ in 255/55R19 111H

This tyre might be an alternative to the Dynapro RF10. Having borrowed back my old 19" D4 rims with 2 RF10 that will need replacing before very long if the rims stay fitted, I could be tempted to try a pair. I'm marking time hoping for more 255/60R19 for the D5.

Michelin Defender LTX M/S is available in 255/60R19 in some parts of the world although not here so can't be inspected. It only has LI109 which is just acceptable for my L322 at least so is on my watch list although the Pirelli Verde's LI113 is more to my liking. The LTX Force looks a better pattern but isn't produced in 255/60R19.

I'm considering those in a 265/60/18 for when my compomotives eventually arrive.

I'm trying to avoid the temptation of a brake change to allow 18" but the 265/60R18 LTX Force is making it hard. Whilst LI110 isn't high, plenty of D3s and D4s travel remote areas on LI109/110 tyres of half-decent construction.

    Maxxis Bravo AT980

So, after 2 (or 3?) sets of 19" Cooper Zeon LTZ's - I've taken the plunge and put a set of the Maxxis LT 19" tyres on my D4.

I really like the Zeon's - they have done really well - and would/will go back again if there's any issues with the Maxxis...

BUT - the Maxxis have been getting good reviews (on various threads on this forum at least!), and they are ~$60ea cheaper than the Coopers...
So, I just saved $300 (5 tyres), for hopefully a tyre that performs at least as well, if not better!!!

Initial impression after 1 drive - they are possibly very slightly quieter than the Zeon's - but it's marginal.

Will update this periodically with impressions...

    ex D1 2.5L 300Tdi, MY97 - loved it, gone to a better place.
