    19" AT Tyres for D4 /RRS

Any recommendations on the latest tyres for 19". Looking for something a bit more off road than Pirelli Scorpion AT's but hopefully with not too much road noise, thanks in advance.

I’ve been using the Cooper Zeon LTZ and they’ve been ok for me for a more aggressive pattern, but they are noticeably noisier than the Pirelli Scorpion ATR I had on previously

The D5 I understand has a 255/60R19 which a much better sidewall height. Has much than same rolling diameter as the 235/65R19 that is std on my RRS TDV6. From stateside Goodyear have an all terrain with Kevlar in that size. I can only hope that they start importing them for the D5 and hence others. But I don’t think they are available yet. I reckon the 255/55 size simply has a sidewall that is to low.

Agree with this. A friend of mine is running the 980's as he doesn't have 18" wheels yet.
They have acquitted themselves very well alongside the KO2s both myself and another friend are using in 18".
The only proper LT rated 19" that I'm aware of.

The Hankook Dynapro is another suitable option. Not LT but still a good tyre. Recently updated long running thread:

I have the Maxxis on my D4. They have been excellent and have not let me down. No chipping and did a 14K trip from Melbourne to Perth, Perth to Byron Bay via Alice and back to Melbourne towing a 2.5t caravan. Now done 36,000kms. However I now have 18" rime with BFG which will go on after Christmas before I do my next more remote trip over to WA. Reason I am changing the rims/tyres is that 18" is more common tyre should I get a puncture or tyre damage (even though I have TPMS), and I prefer to have new or near new tyres when I go on long off the beaten track trips. When I get home, (provided I dont get lazy) I will put the Maxxis back on as I may as well use them till they are bald.

    Unhappy 18 tyres

Whilst in Karijini we punctured a 255/60 r18 tyre through the sidewall with a rock. In Port Hedland we visited 4 tyre shops before we got the only one in town. Old stock in the attic. Don't kid yourself 18 inch tyres are not easy to find.

Not in that size but others such as 265/60 and 265/65 are.

Sounds a lot like our type of travels except our van is 3.1T loaded & a 2012 RRS SDV6 . I think I’ll be going for the MAXXIS 19" AT Tyres for D4 /RRS
