Agreed. No intent, just passing info [bigsmile1]
Also just doing some research

Another blown engine :( Euro3 TDV6 Options?
Scarry, I had also thought about this prior to last post but didn't mention it at the time.
I'm thinking if the engine come out a raised intercooler will go in, might as well do silicon hoses, and even look at HPC on the exhaust manifolds and x-over.
Good thing is raised intercooler will also allow fitting of discreet winch mount behind my non-winch ARB bar.
I wouldnt even bother with a new factory crate engine such as the one listed on triumph rover spares, its going to cost what round prolly $10K plus install and thats without high pressure pump and injectors.
I'm onto my third 2.7lt Ford Territory engine in customers D3s, (two with as low as 30K on the clock) as I say "Tow in, drive out" $8K
*Use Land Rover engine harness (prolly the most fiddly part of job) and a pity as the Ford harness is better made.
*Use Land Rover flexplate (as the Ford one has a spacer and is smaller, "ZF auto" in territory is actually not a ZF but a Ford copy).
*Use Land Rover: front timing cover, front idler bearing assembly and viscous fan, intake, out from turbo, power steering pump (as ford has an electric pump), Y piece intake, sump (from cast alloy down), sump oil temp sensor, engine mounts.
*recommend removing sensor on sump before engine removal, its prone to hitting front diff and breaking (on two occasions now, dont ask me how I know)
*one small metal pipe needs to be bent slightly to line up with rubber hose, i think its crankcase vent from memory.
*Use territory fuel system, doesnt matter year, use the shining new high pressure pump and injectors that came with the territory engine.
*(once engine is installed) you need to bleed the fuel system correctly using the bleed valve on top of engine, if not its unlikely to start. This may be the reason for others incorrectly saying the injectors and high pressure pump are not compatible with the Land Rover.
*Territory engine doesnt use knock sensors, some Land Rover engines do and some dont, if your old engine does, then remove them and fit to territory engine.
*Use territory vacuum pump as its the same as a D4
*Dont forget to fit a new timing belt at the same time.
At the end of the job once its up and running, you wont even know you did a swap....the lion engine seems to sound the same (and pulls the same) regardless if new, 30K or high mileage, or territory sourced.

Daz

Now trying to track down a secondhand injector. It's surprisingly difficult.
Doing the ring around Oz to find an injector for a 5A chassis.
eBay UK is looking positive
Plan is to get the injector and fitting kit for replacement. Oil test is being done today. I should have results by next week.
Also need to do;
Bore/cylinder inspection
Compression test
Oil change if all good.
If this is just a dodgy injector it's an amazing bunch of symptoms and a tough engine.
Is that the output from an IIDTool? If so, does it have that much detail for the V6 petrol?
