    One is the trigger for a video signal switcher that swaps between reverse camera and van camera (when it’s connected). The other will be for roof rack worklights when I get to them. My driving light switch is on the side of the steering column.

    Thanks for sharing. Any chance of a photo of the finished result? I’m thinking about adding USB plugs for charging various devices - the glove box and next to the middle row cigarette adaptor (behind centre console) are prime candidates.

    I like the idea of a USB port in the upper compartment, but...reflecting on earlier posts, unless the item being powered in in the compartment, won't there still be a cable hanging about?
    That said, phones, music devices and such can easily be shut away in the compartment, not so dash cams, GPS etc.
