    Mud Tyres for D4 in 18"

    It's been awhile since we've had feedback & discussion on mud tyres and things evolve so I thought a new thread worthwhile.

    I have personal interest in this because I've got myself one of the first sets of the new Tuffant 18" steel wheels.
    For an all-rounder I would not go past the KO2 or D697 but with KO2s already fitted to the Compomotive wheels I'm looking at MTs for the second set.
    This will mainly be for use on day/weekend trips focused on technical/difficult/sloppy terrain and to try something different as well.

    I'll be continuing with 265/60 for flexibility of spares but both tyres I'm considering also come in 285/60;
    Achilles Desert Hawk and Monsta Mud Warrior
    The Achilles have some fans in this forum but it's very hard to find any feedback on the Monsta Mud Warrior, although their AT has had some good feedback.

    So anyone with the Achilles, Monsta or any other MT available in 265/60 with feedback to offer?

    I've seen the first two sets of Tuffants fitted to vehicles yesterday; KO2s in 265/65 and the Achilles in 265/60:

    Not a mud tyre but I like this photo.

    Cheers,
    Scott

    Don't forget Hankook Dynapro M/T, I've found them great.

    For sale here now I'm selling the D3.

    So any feedback on the Monsta Tombie? As per OP I’m considering these and the Achilles.

    Wondering what kind of mileage people are getting from their KO2s on 18s? Predominantly will be on road but require ability to drive into potentially wet paddocks daily.
