Should have just used the rods alone or a Llams and save the stress on the CV's.

I think the main benefits would be that suspension compliance would be maintained with greater than standard ground clearance and that, if you had oversized tyres/wheels and a fault dropped you to the bump stops, you could still drive. I agree that it would lead to a constant increase in stress on cvs.
Up travel reduces, down travel limited by straps to prevent CV binding.
Only benefit is if it drops to bump stops it can’t bottom the tyre and body.
Not sure I trust a manufacturer who puts out a 'how to' video where the car is only supported with a hydraulic jack:o:o
