    You won't cook it if you pick up on it straight away, this has just happened to me.

    Hi Scott,

    MY10 with 153,000km. Apparently they have redesigned/improved the plastic housing, but not sure what year LR started fitting them.

    Yes this part number suits 2.7 & 3.0 (Discovery 3/4/sport) lr073372 is the latest part number (there has been some supersessions)

    If you want an all in monitor $88 for an Ultraguage will do it all.
    I think I would like the peace of mind of some sort of temperature monitoring system, just not sure what to go with.

    Just been looking at the UltraGauge. As far as I can tell, it is getting it's info from the various sensors already in the car i.e. engine coolant temperature sensor.

    For heavy towing, which I'll be doing as soon as our trailer arrives, MR are recommending a Watchdog type system where an extra sensor is attached to the engine housing.

    Not really sure which one to go with.
