Optima Battery Support - Be Careful who you get it from

Short version of the story, anyone esle had similar issues.

    1. Purchased Optima in August 16, D34 Yellowtop, installed in MY16 (with AGM Main battery) and Traxide Kit from T4 Pty Ltd
    2. Distributorship changed after and now there are multiple distributors in Australia. Items purchased from T4 now are supposed to be supported by Powercrank (T4 can no longer supply)
    3. Top of battery is warping and sulphiding from the negative terminal
    4. No over voltage events recorded (car maxes out at 14.7 Volts)
    5. No over amp events either (Powercank blames this even though the battery is rated at 100amps for 30 minutes)
    6. Only even been charged by the car (no external charging sources
    7. Spent an hour at Powercrank, they load tested it, said it was fine, wont replace it
    8. Traxide tried to assist and Powercrank then got on and told them some things that were other than what they told me and technically incorrect.

I now have a battery that I am not sure is a) safe b) how long will last and c) is unsupported by a reputable dealer.

    ideas?

I had exactly same issue with my D34 Yellowtop and exactly same type of response. Fearing that if left in car battery could leak, I replaced it with and Exide, which has been fine. But I did put Optima into a battery box. It’s still working fine. This is now 2 years since bulge first appeared.
