Not a dumb question, and certainly won’t be a problem in 30-100km unless it drives like a pig currently.
In the 120k I’ve had mine it has had 2 wheel alignments... it went 500km after replacing the lower arm bushes (gathered I marked the locations and got it as close as I could to pre-change) without any notable detriment.

From my experience, if the wheel alignment is good, don't touch it. Took me four attempts at different places to get a good one so I'm leaving it until it actually needs one; either for suspension maintenance or actual symptoms (eg uneven wear or something noticeable at steering wheel).Quote:

My RRS (D3 equivalent) runs 255/55R18s as standard and for the past 6 years I have run the D3 size 255/60R18. These meant that my speedo under read by about 3kph at 100/110kph. Not enough to worry about. Now going to 265/60R18 it will probably under read a further 3kph which is a little worrying.Quote:

I've added the 265/60 R18 numbers into the CCF via GAP for my D4 but it made no difference to the speedo. There is also a section that allows you to input the rolling circumference but it only goes up to 2260mm whereas the number I've calculated for those tyres is 2435mm. The only thing I've been able to do is make the cruise control speed equal the speedo. If you somehow find a way to alter the speedo I would love to know how!
I have a site that gives, among other things, rolling diameter of tyres and the difference between 60/18 and 55/19 was 38mm. I have included a link below. Be aware that they talk MPH not KPH. Some have reported more accurate speedos with 60/18 tyres hence my comment. As we know the LR speedo understates your speed with oem tyres so this should still keep within speed limits provided you stay below the speedo reading. For the record my ko2 265/65/18 on the D4 with cruise control set at 100kph on dead straight road recorded a real speed of 99.4 kph on a navionics gps based iPad. Tested for of kilometre and other speeds so I don’t intend to recalibrate anything with ID tool. Now what speed it says is what speed it is. Been passed by plenty of highway patrols sitting on the new 100 kph speed and no issue.
And they are noticeably noisier then the grabber ATs they replaced. But they look great and give me serious confidence. Previous set on a Prado was 100000 k and no punctures period. This included a cape trip. However had toyo AT 2 been available in this size and in LT I would go the latter as there quiet as at all speeds. If I ever wear these out I’ll try their new Toyo rugged terrain in this spec. Each to there own though.
So after careful consideration of a number of different tyre threads and comments here I decided that a reasonably priced AT that was LT or at least 114 Passenger or XL grade would be suitable.Quote:

So now have Nitto Terra Grapper G2 265/60R18T fitted. New they are quiet and I guess only time will tell how they work out but the reviews are good - for the price certainly worth the gamble and better that paying double for the BFGs which dont actually have great reviews.

Only downside is that one of the oem hub caps has departed the scene.[bigsad] I have some black ones with LR name on to install so not a big issue but would have liked the full set of originals to keep on hand. Funny thing is I tried to pop one out on another wheel out but it wouldn't, even though it was a bit loose. From memory someone suggested a dab of silicon to hold them in place as the diameter of the compomotives hub cap opening is ever so slightly larger than oem LR rim.
