The vehicle is more than capable of everything you ask of it.
It’s falling foul of the RTA etc on GVM that is a problem (and applicable to ALL makes and models)
First post.
just bought a 2011 D4 SDV6 SE and love it. Dont know why I waited so long. My question to all of you far more experienced people regards the weight I want to add and if it will be problematic for the vehicle. I want to set it up with an ARB bullbar, 12000lb winch, sliders/step, frontrunner roof rack, rear tyre carrier, Tuffant 18s with ATs or MTs and drawers in the rear.
Will the extra weight negatively affect the air suspension and overall engine performance to any great degree. Obviously my fuel usage will increase but that is expected. We will be using this D4 off-road quite a lot so I want to get it right and understand any complications.
thanks for any assistance.
Jack

As Tombie says, think carefully before adding bits and pieces as you quickly go over GVM and you wont be able to take passenger!

Aluminum rear drawers would save weight. Try ORS.

That is correct 3,240 but in addition there will be maximum loads for each axle. I thought I had these somewhere but cannot find them. If anyone knows what they are please post them up. I normally weight my vehicles one axle at a time as well as all 4 wheels on the weigh bridge to make sure that the individual axle loads are not exceeded as well as the total. Max roof load is 75 kg just like most 4WDs.
