    Lightforce Striker

I'm thinking about replacing my Fyrlyts soon as they have broken the lenses (again) and are starting to fail intermittently when activated. I was wondering if anyone has purchased the new Lightforce Striker LED lights http://www.lightforce.com/products/s...driving-lights and what do you think? I'm not after a light that sets fire to the landscape at 1000m and particularly I do not want them to blind me with road sign reflection. Do you have to modify the loom that comes with the set?

Also I tried taking out a headlight to check access to put these lights in and I couldn't fully remove them because of the Opposite Lock Bull bar. Has this happened to others and what's the solution?

Shame about the FYRLYT’s...and yes I experienced the same my car and the work cars and touch wood don’t have any more lense failures.

Cannot comment bout the lightforce, but if you’re going LED than I would go a light bar instead of two separate lights....get a decent one, one with decent mounts not the flimsy L bracket type that mount tot he end of the bar.

Anything LED will glare off of signs...

What Fyrlyt are you running? STD or Nemesis?

And Rod, I have some positive info for you...

Fyrlyt are about to release their Borosilicate lens replacements. Those having issues will receive when requested under warranty.

The intermittent operation is likely one of the following:
    - verdigris in the plug. Clean it out. Apply some dielectric grease.
    - sticking relay in your loom
    - Nemesis only; Step Up Is playing up.

I have the Nemesis on my 2nd set of lenses. The guys at Lightforce were quite willing to send replacement lenses even though they are 3 years old and in fact sent a spare set by mistake but I might make enquiries about the new type of lens to see what they offer. I haven't looked for loose connections etc yet but that's the next job.
