That’s why they need to be functional when tuned out.

Just wondering,so if they are still doing the cleaning cycle after being tuned out,can they still fault,and bring up a fault code?

Maybe if they don't have anything going through them,less likely to fault anyway.?

Yes they can still fault. I doubt that having less passing through them is relevant to their failure rate.

Very relevant... they cycle once a trip.. that’s it.
Not a lot of wear and tear compared to hundreds of cycles a trip.

Mine don't cycle. They have been removed and tuned out! It's pretty hard to cycle an open space.
