Love it when the super sensitive get upset about any criticism of any kind about anything at all. Nothing like a deliberate stir up or adverse opinion to make their hackles rise.
I loved it on Exploroz when I dared to say about the probs. my boy had with his "soft snot tough as unbreakable bullet proof" 200 series. And all I did woz speek the troof!
    Not allowed, how dare I.
This is a great place to learn stuff and I for one appreciate all I get from other misguided souls who own Landies.
Be a much worse world if we all agreed on everything. Be too bloody quiet for me to start with.

Opinions *expressed as **fact**. (It’s ok to have an opinion)
    Reading/Quoting of advertorials as research.
    Pseudoscience.
Research where n=1. (This is personal experience not research)
Left and Right wing crap making its way into a vehicle forum.

What’s my favourite part of the forum in the last couple of years?
Watching the ongoing softening of the human spirit, becoming hypersensitive to even the smallest criticism, To watch the shift from being able to take criticism, to criticising criticism with soft beliefs in the misguided ideal that people should all go through life never offending anyone or being offended themselves.

If this offends you - please, be offended! Nothing happens to you if you’re offended. Feel free to be offended - just don’t expect me to sit back, read things that give false data - and say nothing.

Hands up those who partially buy tyres by “how they look”..... be honest...

I’m off to go play in the workshop, all welcome to drop in for a beer..... if you don’t, I won’t be offended...

And feel free to flame me....
I’ve almost given up on sharing experience and knowledge on this forum, I’ve cancelled the auto renewal about 4 months ago - so soon my membership will end and I’ll be an obscure user name on a forum.

Why? Because the forum has shifted, Look back on posts, I think there’s like 2 where I ask for assistance.. 2.
I spent years providing assistance though. And you need to take it through my “rough edges” if you want it.

In the meantime I will post as I see fit, if anybody doesn’t like my post - please report it (button top right of my post) and let the admins sort it out - they do a great job.

Now go suck it up and do some Land Rovering!
That's great, gave me a big laugh to start the day. All as expected. Regards, Wayne

It’s all good... I just don’t take life in here too seriously anymore.

I’ve been here a long time (perhaps too long), I’ve seen changes in the type of people joining, and changes in myself also.

I just call it as I see it some times.

Trout1105 - when you’re near my part of the world - let me buy you a beer...

    This.^
You and a few others have offered much and spoken your mind in the forum over the years.
I'm watching it in the workplace and it isnt change for good. So much to say yet such little point anymore.
Id rather be taken aback by someone shooting straight than placated, mislead and in some cases stabbed in the back by soothsayers and sheep.

Being a 2.7 I could fit a Dynamic 17x8 -30 steel rim. Ironically also fits Amarok.

You can also fit a multitude of Alloys from the likes of:
    Husla
    Simmons
    Etc.

    The variety is quite large.

I thought I had read that these weren't "legal". Would love to be corrected/educated however.

I replied in the other thread..

At -30 definitely not legal... even at +30 they aren’t legal in several states.

-30 is a track increase of 174mm (6.85”) in independent mounts - that’s a serious amount of additional stress!
