No I haven't the tool necessary to put it in the TTM mode for tracking but was relying on the 'experts" recommended to know what to do. I won't be going back to them.
I'm tempted to make a comment about recommended "experts" but will hush my mouth for once...... suffice it to say, 2 have failed the test. :(
I drive the D4 fairly gently the same as the Defenders and actually my driving style doesn't vary much for any vehicle. Basically I'm an old dodderer..... :)
Gap tool in the post right now and should be here this week.

PS. The people I normally go to for tyre purchase and rotations admitted they couldn't do Discos as they didn't have the required equipment etc. which I appreciated.

Just some info.. my replacement pads have arrived.
Tried something different this time - Repco RCT ceramics.
They seemed worth taking a look at... with the price I was offered.
Will see how they go for bite and dust.
Just had a look, thought I’d give some info.
The rear pads are 1mm thinner from new than the fronts.
I’d suggest wear in an off roaded D4 is more about 2 factors.
- dust from front thrown up helps wear rears
- size! Have a look at the pad size difference!

I raised the same concern when i had my car serviced at 50,000K. I have done 2 big trips(35,000K) towing a caravan with very little braking, and was surprised that the rear pads needed to be replaced.All I can say is they must be made out of butter. I stated before that this is the 1st car I have ever had to replace rears before the fronts. In fact in previous cars i think the ratio was more likely 3 fronts to 1 rear. LR D4 seems to be the other way around!
The rears also make small corrections when towing as part of the sway assist.... and sliding dirt runs really hammer it.Quote:

I recommend other businesses such as Rovertech (Land Rover repairs WA) Justin Cooper (Land Rover repairs, TAS (because of the info/assistance he gives on AULRO)), 4WD USA (Jeep repairs WA ), Hi-tech (auto sparkies WA), Bob Jane (tyres, victoria park WA) based on my own personal and/or business dealings with them. People can take my recommendations as MY BEST INTENTIONS TO ASSIST A CUSTOMER where I can OR they can take it with a pinch of salt and that I'm doing nothing more than flapping my mouth for no particular reason...
Again, maybe I should be like the stealers and say NOTHING to customers about anything except how they want to pay their bill and to forget about the vehicle until it comes in next time.
