I think you should probably have bought a Defender. It doesn't have any of these silly things you complain about, although ,I suppose it is slightly boxy to the eye.
I know a bloke who sold a truly magnificent Defender and bought a D4 HSE. He hasn't been quite the same since.
On the pluss side; Had you stayed with Toyota you might still be feeling it and by now, could have gone blind.
Haha. Funny post. I can appreciate dealer comments and some other things you might have said about certain aspects of a 200.series but the 200 is such a yawn. Coming from an 80.series the D4 must have felt like the US Enterprise. You do know some people here have actually owned or at least driven an 80 dont you? Having said that the 80 was an honest vehicle and the last of the great Cruisers.

The OP definitely reads like a troll - some valid points but really didn't do their own research very well. Seems common on forums these days.
Adaptive Cruise Control? Every vehicle I've ever owned has had that! It carries over from one vehicle to the next - all the way from my first (a Triumph Mayflower) to the 2008 Santa Fe, and many Land Rover models in between.
It's called a "right foot" and, when attached to a suitably trained brain, it will work pretty much automatically to maintain a safe gap to the vehicle in front.
Most (sadly not all) people come equipped with one. The major problem seems to be the connection to the brain, this can be affected by fatigue, chemicals, anger, or outright stupidity, amongst other things.
Adaptive cruise control with the auto braking etc, can actually be quite dangerous.
Leeannes Ford Kuga has this, and in traffic, can really keep you on your toes. If someone happens to cut you off in any way, the car takes over and can damn near send you through the front windshield. If the guy behind you is a bit close, he can then run up your arse, especially when your merging in slow traffic. [bighmmm]

It probably sounds like there is lots wrong but I have it in writing from Toyota now that it has no major faults! Pheww, that's a relief. I guess they are correct as things like driving home on Christmas Eve with the car beeping and telling me the key is inside the vehicle is not major. Very annoying and not what I saw in the brochure but none the less, it's not major. I guess it's reassuring to know the key fob hasn't flown out the sunroof (which works by the way) whilst going down the highway. It also now overheats the transmission fluid up hills but don't worry too much about that, my dads old EF Falcon with 300000km also done that. I'd probably just recommend avoiding hills and maybe towing????
I purchased the vehicle new in June last year. It has a full Toyota service history including the most recent 3 attempts by Toyota to complete the 10000km service and full receipt of all warranty repairs will come with vehicle. (They only have to plug some plugs back into the console this week to get everything finished) ******This is now complete, the nice buggers came out to my wife's work to fix up their little mistake.*******
Get total piece of mind with this vehicle!!!!No need to worry about squeaks in the dash, injectors not functioning correctly, replacing exhausts and DPFs, fixing rear air con, repairing rattles in tow bars, fuel tanks not being able to be filled, hanbrakes not working, they have all been fixed for you already by the happy team at Toyota. There are a few things yet to be sorted, one of them is the replacement of the entertainment screen and navigation system that will hopefully fix all the ongoing intermittent electrical faults that the vehicle has which causes the screen not to work correctly, front parking sensors to trigger at random or not at all, the climate control screen to appear instead of the reverse camera and a few other fun things for the whole family. With a bit of luck, this may even fix the issues of the auto wipers, the rear view mirrors dipping whilst driving and the rear headphones for the rear seat entertainment unit having random interference. I can't promise you but let's hope. Toyota also say that none of these 'glitches' will effect the safety systems in the vehicle which is very comforting. The handbrake failing and nearly rolling back on me and the letter box doesn't count.
**** UPDATE****The processor for the infotainment system has now been replaced albeit they marked my trim but it's only minor, with one that they took from some other persons brand new Sahara prior to being sold despite the fact that Toyota don't do this! Unfortunately this did not fix the issues as the vehicle faulted within 10km of having it back from Toyota after 10 days of it being there. But don't let this bother you, I have Toyotas word that they will continue to help. I can't get them to return emails but I'm sure you will be fine. *********
Another great feature of the Sahara is the fact that you don't always need to set your alarm as the car beeps at you in middle of the night whilst sitting in the garage. Also handy in case you forgot to turn the dishwasher on, you can do it at 2 am when going to check if someone is stealing your car or it's just another 'glitch' as Toyota would say.
This particular vehicle is also a good tax write off as it uses much more fuel than any other 200 series Landcruiser I am aware of, it's not quiet as thirsty as my petrol 100 series but not far off.
Sometimes the proximity remote doesn't work from the back of the vehicle when trying to operate the tailgate but don't worry, just a few short steps to the front of the car to unlock and then back again with groceries in hand and everyone's happy. Car is unlocked and you got a few more steps on your Fitbit.
Toyota cannot replicate some of the faults that are occurring but I have video footage of most of them that I can give you to keep hold of for when you may need it in the future or just to kickstart your own video library of the cars faults.
Apart from the above mentioned items, the car is in great condition. It has the rare 'sand' colour Interior. The paint is perfect.
It also comes with a 6 year warranty which is lucky.
I'm not sure how we best go about viewing the vehicle as it will be back at TMCA for half of January for more testing.

I've got a D4 much the same age as the OPs vehicle and yes I have had small whinges like the drivers seat not holding position, but nothing like him. Didn't he even look at the thing before he bought it? Didn't he see it's shape etc.? Or the lack of a sat.nav.?
Totally unbelievable that he could have spent so much time composing such a load of garbage.
Clear off back to the darkside mate, if you think their products are so much better.

PS. My son has (or had) a new 200 series...... took Tojo 3 years to fix the oil consumption prob. and change the transmission which wouldn't work after a week being idle while he was on site at the mine. Apparently and according to them it was a "Hi-tech box which needed time to build pressure before it would work".....
Then there's the 5K to upgrade the suspension to tow his boat.
