dirvine, just do what I did and use some self-amalgamating tape on the split hose until the correct hose becomes available.

It’s $80L and you need 1.5L. Keep the 0.5L from last time and then you only need to buy 1L this/next. If you sell your kidney for that sort of money, probably shouldn’t own a landy, or better start harvesting kidneys from unsuspecting passers by.
I agree it’s not cheap, but given its little more than the cost of a tank of fuel, I’m not sure what the fuss is really?

*The engine acoustic cover rubbing on the top hose is a common issue.
*On new D4's that come in I add a piece of corrugated tube to the cover cut out.
*I keep a genuine top hose in stock for this reason.
*Or its about 3 days from the U.K
What a laughable joke, 12 days and it was a item that could have been avoided if they actually had a clue and knew the vehicle.

Aha! Another punter under the illusion that dealers actually know (or care) about the vehicles they represent! They choose a brand based solely on the dollar value to them. Most make the bigger percentage of their profits from the service department, so a $10 preventative measure is not as profitable as a $500 replacement. Also, keeping parts in stock costs money. Most spares departments nowadays only stock high turnover service items like filters, belts, etc. everything else is a special order.
Regarding the "special transfer case oil" if the invoice stated something like "Penrite 75/90 GL5" they couldn't justify charging you $85 per litre, could they?
