ProSpeeds reply is below. Clearly it's personal choice but I can understand why

Unfortunately it isn’t the cheapest part to produce, especially when they’re being produced in relatively small batch sizes.

You don’t have to use it you can just go with the standard Warn offering, theirs is bigger and doesn’t match the shape of the Discovery bumper like ours does but it’s compatible.

Looking at the photos provided so far I reckon it can be done with a bit of finessed and minor work on the OE bar

Shipping is looking like it’ll be approx. £165, a bit less if you only want the hidden winch mount.

Yes we do supply an alloy fairlead, it is £112.50.

It should be available to order next week.
$210 AUD for a bloody fairlead is ludicrous.

    Hi Rob,

Any idea how much the actual mount will cost?

Who are you thinking to get it installed?

I'm pretty keen to also get one!

Alex actually no idea I thought they had told me but as all my discussion with them was pre-production no price at that stage

I have sent Ben another email to confirm cost as well as if it will take a Warn Zeon 12 series. As we tow an AOR Q+ I need to recover GCM at times which has offered up some quite interesting recoveries with other cars.

Thanks all I could find is mention that it will take the Zeon range. But there's a difference between 10 & 12,000lb winches so I need to know they have built it for the 12k kgs version otherwise a no go

I do like that they have built into the cradle design the ability to swap over OE items like windscreen water bottles etc. as well as making a place for the remote box for the winch. That tells me a lot of design though has gone into the product.

The fact that we will have to remove the OE alloy bar to do the install and probably do some cutting and shaping of said bar, I hope not, means it won't be a low cost exercise but it still appeals more than simply replacing the bar with something plus a winch

What is so special about these Prospeed mounts? Hidden mounts have been available for years both here and overseas - used to sell for about $500 - in Aust a company called Sydney4x4accessories used to sell them.

As none of the mounts for sale her and overseas have been certified through the Aussie compliance system they are technically illegal so fitting by a reputable fitter may be problematic but I am sure there are some not worried about this. I am tempted to get one fitted to my car.

From time to time some have been advertised on AULRO for sale.
