I'm pretty sure I want this. Not so much the little bar, but an off-the-shelf winch solution would be great.
Prospeed hidden winch available soon. What do you think? I wonder if it would be steet legal in Aus and what the cost would be?

Unless you want to mount lights I cannot see why this is better than the discreet winch mount I have. The bar is behind the bumper so would offer not much protection. But as the bar is angled back it may well pass ADR requirements. (My opinion only)

I would be very keen to get this winch, would be great if it was available here.
Looks awesome!
Have contracted ProSpeed and they are going to provide a shipped cost to Australia for me.
They commented that it wouldn't be legal in Australia so I have asked them to explain how they come to that conclusion.
One can assume this means they have not done any design testing for compliance with our ADRs. I am looking to see if they do a similar thing for the UK market. As here aftermarket ADR compliance means the item does not interfere with the original components fitted to the vehicle by the manufacturer. Vis a bullbar still ensuring the crash cans dealing with side and frontal impact will still work correctly

Anyone have latest info or update on this bar?
Cheers

Latest update is the hidden winch will be finalised by end of Jan with production from then so available in February.
After going through the costings to replace the D4 I am now seriously looking at rebuilding the D4 with a winch and bar plus a few improvements. Rather than waiting for whatever Defender looks like or buying an LC200. Cost so far looks to be less than $10k which is a hell of a lot less than my other options.
Waiting on the freight costs and also looking at the Lucky8 version but they both look the same on the face of it
Should be an interesting year for me on the build front

I purchased mine from Mudtech 4x4 in Italy, cost around 850 delivered and put a runva 11xp premium in. Installed myself and came out looking awesome. Had a few big rig patrol and cruisers at high country comment how slick it looked...
Fitted perfectly and also retains the steel bar behind the bumper. Cutting the bumper was quite fiddly work and took the most time to get it right.
