Where to mount ARB CKMA12 compressor on a D4?

    Hey guys

I did a search on this but only found info on a D3 model.

Where is a good place to mount the ARB compressor on a late 2016 D4?

I want to install a TRAXIDE dual battery kit down the line in front of the OEM battery as it’s designed to go there.

So I was thinking on the drivers side next to the ABS pump as pictured? Did anyone else do this?

Can I just bolt it to the plastic box? Anyone know what is underneath it?

    Thanks?

The best search is the Google one at the bottom of every page. It searches exclusively within the forum.

These threads should cover everything you need:

    ARB CMK Compressor/ Traxide setup
    Clearing D4 aux battery tray
installing compressor in D4 engine bay

    Cheers,

Using Tapatalk and can’t see that search there, but on a PC I can see what you are saying Where to mount ARB CKMA12 compressor on a D4?

    Thanks for the links!
Thanks for your build thread also, I have been following it with great interest.

My only real issue with installing a compressor in the engine bay is what about if you have a trailer/caravan? You'll have to get an extension hose and they all take up space. Although I haven't done it, on some models, in the very rear of the car behind plastic covers there is a large amount of space behind the wheel arch that could be used

I bought the ARB hose kit. 6m of hose fits into the palm of your hand. So two kits are relatively small and not an issue.

Something to note with those ARB hoses, if you use your compressor to pump up tyres for a few mates as well as your own the hose can snap off due to heat from the compressor. I'll use a braided hose section near the compressor and plug the ARB hose into that in future.
