Question Discovery 3 tools and jack storage

    Greetings AULRO D3/D4 friends.
    I recently purchased my first LR, a 2005 Discovery 3 HSE V8.

Driving around there was a knock coming from the back and I found my tools and jack were just floating in the compartment unrestrained.

What is meant to hold the scissor jack and toolkit in place?

If someone could post a photo that would be great, need to figure out if I can create something to do the job or if it's worth ordering the part from somewhere (if that's possible???)

    Thanks
    Russ

Mine are stored in the compartment right at the back on the driver’s side. There is a polystyrene block with cutouts to take the jack. The block comes with the vehicle.

There is a foam piece that fits in the space where you have taken the photo of . There are also 2 rubber strap things that go around it to secure the jack and tool case in place.

find someone wrecking a D3/D4 and you should be able to get it as I would doubt many would need to replace them.

Question How does this fit in the jack compartment?

Hey guys I have received the mould and straps for the jack compartment, this is what I got:

Could someone please upload a photo of the mould in-situ without jack and tools, and then another with jack and tools present?

I had a quick look at fitting it and working it out but I don't want to break it and I don't really understand how the scissor jack fits in it, almost looks like it's made for a piston type jack?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Had another go fitting it to my jack compartment space and just don't see how it can fit, I think I was sent the wrong part potentially.

I pulled mine out once. I swear it was like they built the car around that piece of polystyrene as it was near impossible to get in and out. I pulled mine out to modify it to hold my bottle jack. I’ll try and remember to take a photo this evening if no one else has for you

That's great thanks, any chance you could also put up a photo showing the jack in with tools removed?
Do you have bottle jack or scissor jack?

    Cheers

Here you go. I have scissor jack in this spot but carry an omega BST2000 2T 2 stage bottle when away from home for trips.
