Pirelli AT+ in 265/65R18 is LT whereas the 255/60 & 265/60 are not LT.
Note that the 6-speed 3.0 D4 has the same gearing as 2.7 D3/D4 so fare much better than the 2.7 regarding fuel consumption and torque with larger tyres.
There's no right/wrong answer. Just pro's and cons leading to personal preference.
2 larger sizes:
Pro: larger surface area off-road. plenty of rim protection, won't curb wheels in car parks. Very comfy on road and on rough tracks.
Cons: Fuel usage. With the bull bar, i couldn't fit the 265 65 18s.
Smaller 265 60:
Pro: Fuel efficient. Zero chave of rubbing. Guaranteed to be able to drive on bump stops.
Con: Will curb wheels in car parks, Less absorption on corrugated tracks.
So little in it, it's not like we're comparing a true "skinny"(225 or 235) to a fat tyre anyway.

Thank you everyone for your input, I know tyres can be a hotly debated subject that's what I tried to keep the question simple. But as true to form for my Landy anyway it's in the garage having a front hub replaced, so tyres are going to have to wait another month😭
Sorry, I did notice, I just couldn't resist the but as my 285 60s rub on my ARB bar, if not the chassis horn depending on castor alignment, and i couldn't stand the extra rubbing anything else would produce.
